Howdens is just a pull out larder. Wickes aren't great, crap units made out of poor quality chipboard, worktops are probably the worst quality soft chipboard. I have just received a quote for a relatively small kitchen.

In all the kitchens i have had through howdens there would be parts missing, parts broken etc, whilst this can happen it does not make for a smooth job of fitting the kitchen if you are having to go back to get missing or broken parts replaced. Excellent service from start to finish by alan, his attention to detail and explaining what would work well and look best all through the. I considered the kitchen to be expensive as it comprised 5 base units, four top units, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave at over 6k.
They don't work out any dearer and offer a better service. Wickes have a fantastic corner larder which fits perfectly in our kitchen. You can still view the kitchens online or through a brochure as well as receive design advice (see details below).
